IVECO Daily 35S Select Van

Background

Italian commercial vehicle manufacturer IVECO produces a light van - the Daily 35S Select Van - aimed at courier and delivery drivers. The van is competitive model against the likes of Mercedes Sprinter and Fiat Ducato, but offers several class-leading vehicles that sets it apart. IVECO were about to launch a new promotional campaign across digital, social and the Carsales network, and was in a posiiton to invest in new creative for the campaign.

Approach

The pitch to IVECO included the idea to achieve new, localised imagery with the van (rather than inheriting European assets). And, instead of focusing on the vehicle within the images, the pitch included the recommendation to feature male model talent in effort to reflect the buyer in the creative. Model Harry Gould was booked as the delivery driver talent, and commercial photographer Ryan Creevey captured the driver portraits in industrial settings in Thornbury, VIC.

Additionally, automotive photographers Bandits & Co. captured composite imagery of Harry and the van in-studio in Port Melbourne, and a background plate of a Dockland street was incporated into the final stills.

The final images were featured in the designs of all programmatic, digital and social advertisements. Amongst all of IVECO marketing and advertising campaigns in 2024, the IVECO Daily 35S Select Van campaign was their most successful campaign, and achieved the highest click-through-rates.
